this wedding will always be one to remember for me… not only because of the excellent people and the most spectacular berg setting, but because it was my first shoot away from my baby girl… two months in to mama-hood to be exact.
dusty and annick could not have been more trusting or understanding or welcoming or kind.
what a truly wonderful down to earth group of people. despite feeling very far away from my tiniest darling, it felt so easy to document and be a part of this weekend… celebrating a charming zululand boy and his enchanting dutch beauty {ain’t fate grand}.
the dutch contingent were delightful and entertaining to say the least, breaking into song and having the happiest of times. also so refreshing to see how captivated they were by our beautiful country. it’s sometimes lovely to re-live and be reminded of the every day beauty we so easily take for granted… this place we call home may have its imperfections, but damn is it a diverse and beautiful place to be.
a very special thank you to my old friend and colleague kate bain of the wedding company sa for such a spectacular job… baby bump and all! you are one talented and inspiring working mama.
to dusty the sailor and his curly haired darling – thank you both for trusting me to document your weekend of love… am truly happy for you both and wish you all the good things… always.
