i love small weddings… simple celebrations that are all about the love over the fuss.
kyley and thian chose simplicity over opulence and it was beautiful. these two, both a little shy, seem to feel more comfortable when in each other’s company than they do apart. from the outside looking in, they are first and foremost the fiercest of friends which in my book is the ‘root of the root’ to a happy ever after.
12 people in total, this was by far the smallest wedding celebration i’ve ever documented, but man was it jam packed full of love and fellowship.
kyley and her closest friend jess ( the brainchild of lulu & marula which is why it’s easy to see where the green inspiration came from ) foraged for fronds, berries and leaves and did all the decor and arrangements themselves… including kyley’s bouquet which they made over a glass of wine and some laughs the evening before the wedding. only the proteas were store bought – proof that all you really need to create a lush and beautiful wedding is a whole lotta love and a little bitta mother nature.
kyley and thian, thank you for choosing me to document this intimate and very special afternoon.
i wish you both a lifetime of love and friendship.
a note from kyley and thiaan…
“We just wanted to thank you for the most gorgeous pics. We have gone through the images over and over again and love them more each time. It has been so special re-living our special day and even more special sharing them with our families. Thank you again for capturing us and our special day in the most elegant and honest way, we are so grateful.”
